At Greenbank Animal Sanctuary & Poultry Rescue, we understand that circumstances sometimes necessitate the surrender of a rabbit or guinea pig. Our goal is to provide a safe, caring environment for all animals in need. To streamline this process and ensure the well-being of every animal we require the following steps to be taken:
Steps for bringing a stray/abandoned rabbit/guinea pig
1. Complete the Stray Movement Form:
We only accept applications with a fully completed stray movement form. We will ask for more detailed information about the rabbit/guinea pigs health, behavior, and history, when you bring him to the sanctuary. The information helps us to provide the best possible care for him.
2. Found a Cockerel?
If you have found a rabbit/guinea pig, please fill out the Stray Movement Order form opposite. This form ensures that we have all the necessary information about where and how the rabbit/guinea pig was found, as well as consent from the finder to move the animal to our sanctuary.
3. Submit the Forms:
Ensure all sections of the form are fully completed and accurate, including agreeing to the terms of the surrender and acknowledging you will have no further legal rights to the rabbit/guinea pig after surrender. Incomplete forms may delay the surrender process. You can...
- Use the submissions form opposite.
- Submit the forms via email to info@poultryrescue.co.uk.
4. Donation:
If you would like to make a donation towards the rabbit or guinea pig, it helps cover the initial costs of care, including food, shelter, and medical attention.
Why We Require These Steps:
Detailed Information:
The forms provide us with crucial information about the rabbit or guinea pigs health and behavior, which helps us to integrate the animal smoothly into our sanctuary and address any specific needs it may have. All animals are subject to a two week quarantine, assess its behaviour and condition, find a suitable companion and find suitable homes.
Financial Support:
If you make a donation, the £10 donation assists us in providing immediate care for the guinea pig or rabbit. This support is vital as it helps cover expenses such as veterinary check-ups, feed, and housing improvements.
By adhering to these guidelines, you help us to maintain a high standard of care for all animals at Greenbank Animal Sanctuary & Poultry Rescue.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care.
